How to make Chicken Jalfrezi? -

Procedure:

Hand Hygiene:

Before you begin, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. 

Ingredient Preparation:

Prepare the ingredients by washing the chicken pieces, onion, bell peppers, and tomatoes under running water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. 

Cutting Surface Sanitization:

Ensure a clean and dry cutting board before chopping the onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and tomatoes. Keep them separate. 

Heat Source:

Heat the vegetable oil in a clean and dry large pan or wok over medium heat.

Sautéing Onions:

 Add the cubed onions to the pan and sauté until they turn translucent and lightly golden. Then add capsicum and sauté it.

 Ginger and Garlic: 

Add the ginger paste and garlic paste to the pan and cook for a minute until fragrant.

 

Tomato Addition:

 Add the cubed tomatoes and cook until they soften and release their juices. 

Spices and Seasoning: 

Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, curry powder red chili powder, and salt to the blender. Add yogurt into the blender and blend the mixture.

Bell Pepper Incorporation:

 Add the bell peppers to the pan and cook for a few minutes. 

Chicken Handling:

 Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides. Make sure the chicken is cooked thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). re slightly tender but still retain some crunch. Add blended mixture and ketchup into the pan and cook until chicken gets browned.


Simmering: 

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the dish simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender. 


 Cooling and Serving: 

Turn off the heat and allow the Chicken Jalfrezi to cool slightly. Serve the Chicken Jalfrezi hot with steamed rice or naan bread.
